Former union boss at Occupy event: Our goal is to ‘overthrow the capitalist system and build communism: It must be wondered why -when government involvement in the economy has been doing a fine job of overthrowing capitalism for decades- this fellow is so interested in destroying the current state of central economic planning in order to replace it with another state of central economic planning. But that is the thing about revolutionaries. Most often they are not about changing the power structure. Just the persons at the top of that power structure. This man wants a throne.

Years ago I was in several unions. None by my own free will, it was required if you wanted the job. And yes, in every case as soon as the opportunity presented itself, I quit and did the same thing in a non union place. (All of those particular unions are now defunct...hurray) Anyway, I even was required to attend meetings with some of them. Every meeting I attended was a communist rally. "Capitalism sucks" or words to that effect. "We're getting screwed". "Lets put the company out of business!!!!" Huh? I thought these people were raving idiots.
Seems like I was the only one in the meetings that figured out we'd be out of jobs if we put the company out of business.
Now you know why I think many union members are dumber than a box of rocks and why I KNOW that ALL union leaders are corrupt and communists.
I was an apprentice in the International Union of Operating Engineers for quite a few years. Part of our required course work was attending the semi-annual big meetings in Los Angeles. I remember one in particular, at a time when many of us were out of work, the economy was bad. Probably during the Carter years.
The leader, Bill Wagonner, was up on stage, doing his best to get us all riled up to strike if need be for a big raise. He was badmouthing all the other construction trades for signing contracts with no increases. "We're not going to let the contractors force us into a contract with no increases! We'll strike if we have to! Are you with me brothers?" We all stood up and yelled "NO!" You should have seen his face. Like Obama, I don't think anyone had ever said that to him.
Only an idiot who has never experienced the purges, secret police, bread lines, Gulags, and re-education camps could ever continue to advocate such a barbaric form of government. But then I did say he was an idiot.
I've never experienced all that, but I can read.
And I can hear when those who HAVE experienced living in a COmmunist country talk about what they endured.

Kinda reminds me of the conversations I've had with Iraqis who fled their homeland to avoid persecution by Islam. But the Dems don't want to believe it.
95 years of failed revolutions hasn't lessened Mike Golash's enthusiam for communism. I know people like Mike, when you list all the failures of communism, they reply that real communism has never been tried. For people like Golash, communism isn't a political or economic movement, it's a religion where the worker's paradise is just one revolution away. The Occupy movement, whatever it was a year ago, has been taken over by communists, anarchists and far left nihilists.

tell ya what i'm gonna do, i have many pine trees around that have dropped limbs, i could tie them together w/plastic trash bag drawstrings, and christen it w/some digested beer, and name it ship of state. Will be glad to donate my time energy, if he'll agree to sail it to NK, or, to canada's sharia land.
In roughly 80 days this scum and the others like him will slither back into the dark crevasses from where they emerged. This administration represented the big offensive to take down the country and it appears that it failed.
