So that brings up a guilty memory for me. From a long time ago. One of those things where you look back and ask yourself, "Did something bad happen right under my nose and I did nothing?" The priest who conducted our learning-to-be-a-Catholic classes had adopted two Hispanic illegal immigrant boys. To "give them a home" he said. At the time I thought, "Gee, what a nice guy," but, later, the Catholic priest pedophilia scandals erupted and I started wondering. Was I an ignorant bystander to something horrific? I'll probably never know.
