Bonfire of the Absurdities: After 35 year career writing software for IBM mainframes, am now self-employed contractor thinking of joining a union and striking for higher wages. Cured morbid fear of heights when I learned to look at them as lengths standing on end. Uncompromising in refusal to accept browser cookies. Amateur investor who has accumulated a small fortune in the market after starting out years ago with a large one. For recreation, I run, hike, kayak and play tennis but will not consider synchronized swimming under any circumstances.

  • Rock on, this should be the infographic of the year!!! It is quite amusing this car is a colossal failure. Missing from the above picture; GM pays no federal taxes. Electricity is not an alternative to gasoline. While the Volt doesn't pollute, it's battery pack can never be thrown in a landfill. Electricity comes from coal. Coal burning is way more toxic to the environment than gasoline burning.

4 More Years!!! ... for Obama to find his real birth records!

  • If only we were as super smart as our Presidebt, we would all be buying one of them there volts.

    • Almost 111 billion dollars, and we end up with a piece of shit that catches on fire. Great move there "Dear Leader", hope when you get evicted from the WH next year, the one you get burns with you in it.

      • Well, at least they stopped production before they spent any more of our tax dollars on it!
Just another green project gone bust.

        • I read they are gonna restart production on April 23rd after some retooling and the laid off workers will be called back to work. Seems like the excess inventory will not be gone by then according to GM.
