Look at the chin and throat of the suit guy in the photo. Are those tatoos? I figure the above shots are of the same person. The one on the right just put his work clothes on.
Hell it's been that way since Capone and Moran setup shop in Chicago. Now the gangs are more ruthless and have no problem killing the innocent.
Will Emanuel stop all his chest thumping and get down to what needs to be done? Nope, he will just talk his BS and try to blame others for his inability to reign in the corruption of those elected and the gangs violence.
I lifted the following from an article that I read today.
The city of Chicago is so strapped for cash that it is planning to close 54 public schools. It is being estimated that Chicago schools will run a budget deficit of about a billion dollars in 2013.
There are only about 200 police officers assigned to Chicago's Gang Enforcement Unit to handle the estimated 100,000 gang members living in the city.
The number of murders in Chicago last year was roughly equivalent to the number of murders in the entire country of Japan during 2012.
Nothing really new or startling here. Chicago has been a corrupt city for the past century, maybe longer. The only question is which gang is the current favorite of the pols. The Italians and the Irish have had their day, now it's the turn of the Black and Hispanic gangs. And don't forget the corruption of the Chicago police. BTW, which political party has absolute control of the city, it's politicians, its civil servants and its unions for fifty years? Yeah, that party.
It's not comforting to know that Chicago corruption is the milieu in which Obama came to power.
Like anyone could tell the difference these days. It's the newest way to launder drug money, buy a politician.
It's all about equal opportunity; the Chicago/Cook County political establishment has been in bed with the Mob for almost a century, so they figure it's time to let the black and Spanish gangs on board the gravy train(actually this began in the late '60's, when heavy armament for a gangbanger was a zip gun, but nobody outside Illlinois noticed before).
The only difference is that the gangs have more ethics and are not as criminal.
