GE CEO defends tax rate after protesters disrupt speech

GE CEO defends tax rate after protesters disrupt speech. So, did these sock puppets not get the memo to the effect that Immelt is a crony of the crony-capitalist in chief? Or maybe Obama’s class-warfare kabuki is blowing up in both of his faces….

  • Of course, none of the OWS morons would ever understand that NO corporation pays taxes. ALL taxes are paid by the end consumer. The corporate tax should be abolished, putting a large percentage of accountants and IRS agents in the unemployment line. Maybe later on they can get jobs as useful members of society.

  • From the sound of things Immelt felt that he and GE are above paying their fair share while pimping the barry agenda of we all need to be paying more. Even his radical OWS friends saw right thru this curtain of deceit.

    Pay UP you ass hole. You and Buffett all claim that you have no problem paying more then you hire a company of tax lawyers to skit paying one damn penny!! Hypocrite lying thief

    • Since you mentioned Buffett. I came across this little tidbit while researching GE investment options today. I was not aware of this GE/Buffett/Obama link until now and it really brings a lot of things into focus for me. Here's the tidbit;
      " GE does not have any preferred stock outstanding that is available to the public. However, GE does have $3 billion of perpetual preferred stock in a private offering to Berkshire Hathaway, Inc. "

  • Always good to see fratricide between enemy forces. As for GE, they need to be exposed as aiding and abetting corporatist fascism. As a minimum they should be banned from government contracts for 5 years as an example. Let the stockholders take care of dealing with little Jeffrey.

  • What can you say except that sock puppet is losing his base by not being even handed in his treatment of business.
    When you show favoritism to one of the biggest companies in the world, while sticking it to others, even OWS idiots see it for what it is.
