Germans will pay $26 billion for $4 billion worth of green electricity

This year, Germans will pay $26 billion for $4 billion worth of (green) electricity. Obviously, the U.S. doesn’t have a monopoly on the glories of green energy.

  • Well so much for the theory that the Germans are ultra-efficient. Now they're suffering from rolling blackouts, and people are bound to be getting pissed. Looks like Merkel will be looking for a new job here soon.

    • They don't suffer inconvenience well. Just ask a Weimer Republic citizen and who they voted for in 1933 to fix the inconveniences.

    • i hate you and your mind numbing stupidity. If there is anything to karma, I must have done something really heinous to have to put upwit the likes of you!

      • Hell Rose, imagine what he must have done to make Karma MAKE him such a nit wit.
Raped a nun in a previous life, perhaps?

        • No, it had to be even worse than that. Even with my overactive imagination, I cannot begin to wrap my head around WHAT he could have done to be the way he is. Really. Nothing seems awful enough.

      • Wow! I had to read it's posts after reading your post and that was seriously the stupidest comment it has ever made. There was no point to that. I say that we should just "censor" this creepy b*tch and be done.

        • I recommend against censuring 1985, every great once in a while he can actually express something besides flatulence, though, not very often. I realize that his usual drool is 'stolen gold' and 'corporate greed,' but once in a while he offers a little nugget of gold. I suggest we stop reacting to his posts; no TU's no TD's until it's something worthy of praise and in his case, that won't be very often. He probably reacts to the TD's the same way most of us react to our TU's. If we stop giving him any notice at all, after we read about 'corporate greed' and 'stolen gold,' at some point he's going to get the point and maybe, just maybe, he'll do what 'she who shall not be named' did and leave for greener pastures. Just my thoughts on the matter...1985, you've never come off of probation, so don't get any grand ideas about how we see and interpret your posts. You're still a big disappointment!

          • Of coursevthere is suspicion that she who shall not be named actually died. For real. We can't count on the creep's timely demise.

          • One can hope. I mean Hell, he's already half brain dead! And besides, as far as 'she who shall not be named' is concerned, somebody gave me a TD for my post. I'm pretty sure it wasn't her though, becuase is wasn't Control + C'd and Control + V'd back in my face with a thousand astrixes underneath it and then followed up with some obnoxious wacko vomit beneath that.

          • You mean he's a masochist? Could be. Now I have that visual in my brain: Crowley sitting in front of his computer wearing a dog collar and nipple clamps. Thanks a lot.

          • Well, not all of us have your imagination, so you posting what you thought of just infected all of out minds!
            Thanks alot!!

          • He's wearing chaps and mommy is using a riding crop on him. Just to further reduce anyone's appetite.

        • The only problem is that besides being stupid and annoying, there is no actual good reason to ban him.

    • Auchtung!! Ve are safingk elefenty billion cubic meters ovf CO2 frrrom beingk put in to der atmosfere eferey year. No prrrise ist zu mutch fur das honor.

  • Well, we know that Green is the new Red and therefore is based entirely on classical Unicorn Fart economic theory.
    1. Money grows on trees
    2. The laws of economics do not apply here; because it's our intentions that matter.
    3. Detroit is Bush's fault.
    4. Global Warming is a religion and therefore not subject to criticism.
    5. What I say and what I do shall always have bearing on others unless I don't want it to.
    6. I will always point out the faults of others, because It makes me look smarter than I really am and besides, it makes me feel good when I can make others look stupid. However, don't ever try and reverse that on me because you don't have any right to judge me!
    7. I got my really expensive education at an Ivy League school, where'd you get yours...Oxnard Community College? (snort, snort, snort...cackle)
    8. The laws of mathematics don't apply to me, that's your problem.
    9. If I want any shit from you, I'll squeeze your head.
    10. If you don't like what I have to say, leave!
