• As an FYI, you can drop the .357 Sig barrel into the Glock .40, it uses the same magazine.
  Very nice that you can change a caliber with just a drop-in, that's a real bonus!

• Liberals will yell that she should have put better bolts on her door and called 911 after the second knock and that her gun is too available and she should be hauled off to prison for scaring the poor man who just wanted to fulfill his fantasies and she was being judgemental for not complying.

  All in all it is a good commercial for it basically just tells you what a gun is for: Is for protection. Life is scary and things can happen that shouldn't and it won't if you are capable of defending yourself. It is really that simple.

• I'm not a GLOCK person, probably because I've never shot one, but if it works for it's owner and fulfills it's intended purpose, I'm a fan. I do like their commercials!

  • A Glock firearm is relatively simple to break down and maintain. They lighter than most, but I like my Sig and my Tarrus. Have to carry a Glock on duty, but my personal and back up can be to my liking.

    • Glock's original design is the simplest of all reliable modern pistols. 33 parts all held together with a couple pins. No screws, nuts or bolts. Field strip in about a second and a half with no tools. Reassembly is slightly easier.

      They have never been my favorite handling. I prefer the Colt 1911 grip angle, but that's true over all other pistols as far as I'm concerned. Frankly, the 1911 design is my favorite for every reason other than magazine capacity. That's where Glock won it.

      I'm big enough to conceal a fat double column pistol, even when I wasn't porking out. The Glock 30, which is slighty shorter than the 21, with a 15 round magazine works really well. Having 16 rounds of 45ACP Black Talon on tap with no active safety to disengage lends extra confidence in a run of the mill ghetto confrontation.

      The Colt 1991A1 Compact with the grips removed and a little rubber sleeve pulled over to keep grunge out of the magazine well was the best for concealable comfort but only 8 rounds. Typically that would be plenty. Even a full size Colt Automatic is very concealable with the grip thickness being addressed.

      I nearly bought an HK USP in 45 back in the last century without ever trying it. HK reliability and excellence in design and manufacturer is generally unassailable fact. Missed out. When I bought my first Colt in the 70s it was nearly overlooked for a Browning BDA which became the SIG design a short time later. I do not like double action only pistols.

    • I've never even touched a Glock, I will say though that I do love the feel of a Ruger, and they just might be the most durable weapons made.

      • Make good hammers too, I've got two: one 9mm and one .22. (sarc.) (I don't really use my hand guns as hammers, that was for Oblivious).
