Well, you have to admit, running Romney would solve the establishment's biggest problem: keeping Protestants frozen out of the Washington power structure. They don't care whether the next president is Democrat or Republican as long as they don't have to deal with another guy who thinks he can talk to Jesus.

Costa Rica will give you residency status if you can prove $1,000 a month of income from a pension (any combination of SS and any other pension income). They won't let you work or start a business, but I've read that it is possible to live decently in some areas there on as little as $1,000/month.
I'd come with you, but I have changed my escape plans to Costa Rica. It used to be Belize, but I found out a guy I rented part of my house to 40 years ago has a beautiful mountainside home in Costa Rica now. I hope he'll rent part of it to me for the same 80 bucks a month I charged him.
Beck is 100% correct, defund the GOP. The establishment cares about getting along & being a part of the DC Beltway rather then gaining power & getting rid of bad gov't programs & agencies. That's also the same attitude that gave us Romney, McCain, Dole, & Bush41 (forced onto Reagan's ticket), & it will kill the republic. Either conservatives/tea party people seize power in the GOP or it needs to die. They are nothing more then Diet Demacrats, & it's not working.

I agree completely. Many of us knew Romney would be the disaster he was.
The big problem is that so many who consider themselves either Republican or conservative don't do a damned thing to educate themselves.
The company I work for is in the NE, most of the managers self identify as "conservative". . . none of them had ever heard of Col. West, all of them bought into the myth that Sarah Palin is "dumb".
The ONLY sources of information these "leaders" have are the CNN broadcasts at airport gates and the USA Today rags put in front of their room at the Marriott.
That was my thinking. Even though I did agree with a lot of what he had to say, I wouldn't want Mr. Romney back. He lost his steam mid way, he didn't fight it out. We need a fighter. He ain't it.
