Bonfire of the Absurdities: After 35 year career writing software for IBM mainframes, am now self-employed contractor thinking of joining a union and striking for higher wages. Cured morbid fear of heights when I learned to look at them as lengths standing on end. Uncompromising in refusal to accept browser cookies. Amateur investor who has accumulated a small fortune in the market after starting out years ago with a large one. For recreation, I run, hike, kayak and play tennis but will not consider synchronized swimming under any circumstances.

  • Based solely on the story that follows this one on IHTM, maybe those TSA agents in San Francisco must have been looking for the stimulus to start working on something!

  • Alan Greenspan merely acknowledges what we all know: the Stimulous accomplished nothing. But we're still waitng for the MSM to acknowledge the fact...might be a long wait.

    • Not that I could actually tell you Greenspan's position on anything, every time I tried to listen to him, it was like taking an overdose of sodium pentathol.

  • I'm just an engineer but I could have told you that in 2009. This was a feature, not a bug in the Porkulus.

    I'm sure this will be story number one in the papers under AlPravda.
