Group to Call for ‘Robin Hood Tax’ at Protests Saturday. Unfortunately this group seems to have missed out on some of the finer dynamics of the Robin Hood legend. It is ultimately the story of a heroic protagonist fighting against the debilitating taxation of the people by an unfair, corrupt and illegitimate government. It is not the story of an unfair and corrupt government being persuaded to raise taxes -that will ultimately trickle down to the middle class- so that a rag-tag band of over-privileged bougie bohemians can upgrade their iPhone and Mac Book Pro’s without ever having to get real jobs.
