Was understanding that a private establishment could refuse to sell a firearm under any circumstance, no discrimination involved.
I think that people can and should be able to discriminate for every and all reasons they want to.
I don't want to give my money to someone that would take it but wont treat me right. I want to support those that I like. That is my right as an American as per the Constitution.
Sure it hurts the pride to be refused service for something I cannot change, but I am a grown ass woman and I prefer to spend my money where I am wanted for myself and I in turn can discriminate whoever the hell I want for whatever reason. That is called Liberty. I choose not to discriminate or to discriminate, the choice should be up to me. As long as I don't work for the government or have government contracts in my business.

You can usually refuse service in the following situations:
• When a customer is not properly dressed
• When a customer has been, or is being, disruptive
• When a customer harasses your employees or other customers
• When there are safety concerns
• When you know someone can't, or won't, pay
• When a customer is intoxicated or high
• When you need to protect another customer's privacy
It's still essential to apply these criteria on a bias-neutral basis. Even the most compelling business reason can't overcome obvious discrimination. So remember to use your right to refuse service wisely.

I gotta agree with some of the comments, instead of announcing it, just make it a policy. He is asking to get sued, and since the terrorist organization known as CAIR has already asked the DOJ to sue, you know they will because the current administration is Terrorist Friendly.
It would be much better if ALL gun stores just stopped selling to those crazy folks from the Religion of peace. There are a million reasons you could give to not sell, but when you announce it like this, you are just asking for a visit from the Gestapo.
All he had to do was put a sign in the window that said:
"We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone."
