However who leads? Interestingly enough the military is no longer the bastion that it used to be. I love the military and I am so proud of our veterans. Not sure if a coup will be a good thing since the military is so messed up in many ways and there is no clear cut leader (thanks to the Progressives).
Put me in charge.
My cabinet would be mostly people from this website.
Starting with, off the top of my head.
Sec Defense, Sidekick
Atty General, NSS
Co-Sec of State, Editor and Admin
Ambassador to the UN, RobertW
And what about the ladies in this grand scheme of yours?...Where are you going to place KQ? Karmaa? SA Rose? Strina?
Actually, I was thinking of you and Rose as co-Surgeon Generals.
Karmaa as chief of mental health.
I'm not sure what Strina or Kimmy do, but I would find something appropriate for them as well.
I prefer to work toward people's strengths.
Dean, for example would be in charge of BATF!
I want only 1 position, and it will be a short term post.
I want to be in charge of evicting the U.N.
I would give them 90 days to pay their bills, pack up, and GET THE HELL OUT.
I would even volunteer my time.

btw oddballz, I'd appreciate some clarification on the whole who owes whom how much issue vis a vis u.n. U.S. I found only one ref site that puts a lie to the notion we owe them anything.

Well, actually I was thinking more about the unpaid tickets and such, as far as I am concerned all we "owe" the U.N. is a good swift kick.

I like to travel and I like to help people, but not into bureaucracy. The less government the better in my humble opinion. It is good to dream though.
