My resolution this year is to become a liberal. The stock market has went through the roof, my retirement account and stock portfolio looks better than it has looked in 10 years. And I'm going to blame it all on President Trump!
My grandson just got home from his third tour in Afghanistan, with all his body parts in the right places. The Marine Corps has told him that is it, he has done his duty and will now be stationed at Camp Lejeune training others. But since I'm now a liberal I'm going to blame his good fortune on Trump! That boy is a healthy Marine and he should stay in that shitehole until he has some missing body parts! Then he can come home and train other Marines!
It is Trump's fault that my granddaughter just got promoted to E-5, staff sergeant, in the Air Force. I don't know what she does, she isn't allowed to talk about it, but she is a chip off the old block! E-5 in two years? That girl makes this old grandpa proud and Trump is the blame! How dare the Air Force recognize anyone for a job well done! It is un-American! If Shillery Clintoon had been elected this would have never happened!
I will be back from time to time as I learn more about how to be a liberal loon. And believe me I have a lot to learn!

Practice your whining. Liberals are constantly whining and that might be the secret to your conversion. For example, sometimes you probably say, "Damn, my back hurts today," because what old guy doesn't say that sometimes? But instead you should practice saying, in a whiny voice, "Why does my back hurt today? It isn't fair! Trump is stopping Obamacare from fixing my back and it's not my fault!"
It won't make your back feel any better but you will sound more like a liberal.
And if that doesn't work, you might have to wear a dress and say you're transitioning. You still have five days. Better start shopping.

LMOAO...I was stationed at Coos Bay back in the 1970's when nobody knew what a self serve gas station was. Imagine my surprise when the wife and I drove up to visit brother and family in 2013 and you still had to wait for someone to pump gas for you! I wonder how many Oregonians are going to blow themselves or their cars up because they don't know how to operate something as simple as a gas pump?

Hell to the no. After working with Windows for so long, using a Mac would be like learning to decipher ancient hieroglyphics. I tried once and it did not work out well.
I'll get a Mac right after I pay a thousand bucks for a phone that's set to slow down and lose battery life right after the next one comes out.
Yeah, I don't get the premium that Apple gets for its products. A phone is a phone and a computer is a computer, why pay more for essentially the same product?
I've had the same Macbook going on 6 years now. It does what I ask of it each and every time without fail. When i used Pc's, I got maybe a year out of a laptop. Windows still sucks, I know this because I have to use it at work. One thing I can count on with a PC is I'm going to hit alt-ctrl-del, each and every session, without fail.
I agree, the price sucks and should be way less. But the way I see it, I'd have spent more on replacements and anti virus programs in the long run.
I also run Photoshop ,which was designed to run on a Mac. It needs the more expensive Windows laptops to run properly. At 1K a year replace, 100 bucks for anti virus and 150 for memory upgrade( because windows is a bigger memory pig than Photoshop), it makes sense to me. For a guy surfing the web and checking email, not so much.
The iPhone, meh. I have an older one. They last a long time. 1K for the new one? Efukuck that!
Most of what I do on my six year old Lenovo laptop is video editing, which can use a lot more than photoshop, and I paid three hundred dollars for it. I'll still never even consider a Mac.
Funny you should mention Lenovo. I have a co-worker with one he's had for years; he never fails to let me know what an overpriced POS I have! He even bought his used on eBay! He runs Linux on it, which apparently requires lots of manual updating. Hang on to yours, I just never had much luck with Windows laptops.
What are you using for your video editing? I do some video, but not as much as PS and graphic/photo editing stuff. I've used iMovie, pretty simple interface and Final Cut pro, not so simple. I used Cyberlink before my Mac days, with pretty good results. And yes, they will test your computer power/memory, specially when rendering the final product. This reminds me, I have a mile of GoPro footage to put together for a friend. Sigh...
I've dual booted Linux and Windows on a rig. Linux is pretty fast, easy to use and less prone to viruses and malware. At least it was when I last used it. The last version I used was Linux Mint, easy as pie to configure.
When I first started tinkering with it around 16 years ago, it was a PITA when it came to hardware compatibility but that's changed over the years.
You could say goodbye to using alt-ctrl-delete forever...
