• Where are we? China?! This doesn't sound real. Obviously if this is true the person is a hater atheist/anti-theist, but let us be real "G-d Bless You!" went out of style a long time ago and therefore "Bless You" has become a pretty generic thing. Any idiot that has a problem with that, is just a stupid ass punk. No real atheist will have a problem with that and one with education and manners would just say thank you and move on. Please... this isn't possible. This is just craziness.

  The teacher said she "is not going to have Godly speaking in her classroom" Teacher has no problem with homosexuality, bestiality, or other perversion I bet, but don't mention God or it's off with your head....I swear teachers are getting more militant and more asinine all the time...

  • Good thing that wasn't Darby's school. After being informed of the suspension because the teacher complained, voice dripping with Southern Charm she would have replied, "Well, Bless her heart." And promptly been expelled. :)

  • Yeah. A friend of mine who deals with the "special needs" kids had to go back to work this week after being off for the summer. She really hates the way those kids talk to her.

    • By "special needs" do you mean "special needs" or inner city?

        • I consider the kids that I'm working with on my Charity Tour to be special needs kids. And they're beautiful.

          Some people get badly raised, never disciplined kids confused with special needs kids.

  • Saying bless you seems pretty generic to me.

    • Someone complained in my wife's office years ago about people saying "bless you", so the other girls all got together and came up with an alternative. From that day forward, they all said "FUCK YOU" when someone sneezed.

      • What happened once that started?

        • Nothing. There wasn't any of the group that would complain, and the one that did complain couldn't say anything because she complained about Bless You.

        • She was wrong and strong as my Mother would say. She could have apologized for being a b*tch or at least state that her complaint was without merit and people could say whatever they wanted. However, by not saying anything she basically is stating that she prefers a gros mot to a sincere and respectful term that in all truth, is now quite devoid of religious connation.

        • It's a sneeze. I don't see any reason to say anything. And I don't respond, either positively, or negatively, when somebody does.

        • Most likely, she was not happy about the result, but would have to admit being wrong if she complained about the result, and was likely afraid of what they would come up with next.
