“What idiot would buy bonds …” Oblivious?
Unless of course the Kookafornia bonds are guaranteed even in case of bankruptcy, I say let em sell the bonds. What idiot would buy bonds from some outfit that is on the verge of bankruptcy? So, no doubt they either sell the bonds to the government, ie print more money or there is some guaranteed gooberment bailout when the inevitable bankruptcy happens.

My dad worked for Michael Kenny when he (Kenny) headed up the State Air Resources Board. I also had the privilege of doing an internship with the guy. He's smart and takes his job seriously and is not beholden to any group. Good to see him sticking it to Brown & Co.
