Poor Hillary. Can you imagine the anger and bitterness if she HAD gone t the convention? She worked like a dog, put up with Slick and yet this upstart from Chicago got the nomination I am sure she felt she deserved! No wonder she isn't going!
I do not have a shred of sympathy or that woman. She asked for it all.

My biggest concern is that Obama has poisoned the well. The repeated rounds of Quantitative Easing (QE) have flooded the market with currency. It's not apparent now, because the economy is depressed, but as soon as the economy picks up, Whammo! hyper-inflation. The Democrats will waste no time saying that the inflation is Romney's fault, even though it was the Fed's ridiculous monetary policy that set the charge and lit the fuse. Then here comes Hillary to save us all...
Obama!=Fed.. The Fed is far too quasi to bend to the will of Presidents.
Additionally, Obama is not a time traveler, and couldn't possibly have been involved in QE1. Bernanke was a Bush appointee
China's fiat money generation counters dollar inflation as they target our economy and currency specifically. They can run trade deficits with the rest of the world because of the surplus they rob from us. Consumer inflation remains suppressed because of barrel-scraping labor markets abroad. Asset price inflation is where we get hit and have been getting slammed for years (though many know exactly how to profit off of the froth)
Of course, starting with Lehman brothers, Obama had "sources" keeping him apprised in real time of everything happening. When McCain suspended his campaign and called for a meeting with the President, the Fed, and both candidates, Obama ran the meeting and favored the TARP bailout. That's the part he never talks about. Bush on his own, did not ceate nor support TARP. But Obama couldn't wait to give trillions to the wealthiest banks in Amerca.

It sucks we had to do it, but generally its nearly all paid back. Boehner shed tears to push the bill, and Paul Ryan voted YAY. Our economy is grossly overfueled by credit markets, and it was necessary to prevent them from seizing up (Credit under many categories absolutely dwarfs real money supplies, due to extreme fractional reserve banking, esp since we slipped off the gold entirely.. but that's how we've grown for decades)
They claim that their choice was bailout or andther Great Depression. Since we got the depression anyway, guess the bailout wasn't the magic bullet after all! And Obama was neck deep in the plans and pushed the passage of the TARP.
Yeah, TARP was Bush, Paulson, and Bernanke. i hear your rationale for why it occurred but I still think it was a mistake. The credit markets seized anyway and those banks that would have failed would have been replaced by more agile and better capitalized banks. Akin to the GM bailout. Had it gone into a normal Chapter 11, the company would be healthier today and free from government control.
Looks like she is trying to distance herself from the coming debacle. In this case, distance is a heck of an understatement. Good news for Slick though, Hillary is waaaaay the hell out of town. All those female Demmy delegates still harboring the hots for Sleazy Slick and Hill on the other side of the planet. Party time! (not that Hill would give a ratzazz anyway.)
Prediction: if Romney wins in November, and the economy is slow to recover, Hillary Clinton will be the Democrat nominee for president in 2016.
Slick WIlly is certainly supportive of this, but Hillary continues to CLAIM she will never run for anything again. Start collecting clips of her saying that, so when she runs, we have our 1st lie to report.

It wouldn't surprise me if Team BO were searching for excuses for El Presidente to skip the convention. In fact, if the weather forecast for Charlotte calls for partly cloudy the Dems might just cancel the whole thing and do some sort of 'auto-nomination'.
Even if they have the convention, it will be an autonomination. I don't think any party ever has had the balls to replace a sitting president with another candidate.
That would be like admitting you screwed up. Which is tough to do, even when everybody knows you did.
