Holder calls amnesty a “civil right”. “Creating a pathway to earned citizenship for the 11 million unauthorized immigrants in this country is essential. The way we treat our friends and neighbors who are undocumented – by creating a mechanism for them to earn citizenship and move out of the shadows – transcends the issue of immigration status. This is a matter of civil and human rights.” There is such a mechanism, jackass – it’s called “US immigration law”. It defines the procedure for coming into the US legally, obtaining residency status and citizenship. This fool is calling for a mechanism to allow people who violated that law to get a free pass.

Deepthinker I like your post, you're right on point. These 'forgetful' border crossers should be forcefully reminded on which side of the border they belong. I'm so sick and tired of carrying an entire class of entitlement grabbing theives, who do nothing more than steal our sh*t and give it to another class of entitlement grabbing theives, simply because those theives will vote to keep the other theives where they are for another two, four, or six years.
Even the ones who actually DID come here, get a jb, pay taxes, etc (and yes, there are many who have) get screwed by being illegal. They have no recourse for emloyer abuse and exploitation, the frequently do with out routine medical and dental care, and they live in a high stress environment wondering if ICE will come knocking in the next 15 min. I appreciate they put themselves in that position, but when everyone is bitching that those of us who feel illegals are just that: Illegal and subject to deportation, that we are also looking at the well being of the immigrants themselves. If they come legally, they can work at a fair wage, educate their children (who won't be afraid to go to college for fear ICE will pick them up) and live a normal life, rather than always looking over their shoulders. I disagree with amnesty for one reason. It doesn't work. We have offered amnesty some 5 times in the last 50 years, and many have never come forward to accept the amnesty. And daily more illegals are crossing into the country. Some from the Southern Border (come to my city. We refer to it as little Mexico) but there are plenty entering from Canada where the border is not even as tight as the Southern border. Many come in by water as well. These gaps in security have already proven to be a problem, and its just getting worse. Of course, one of the issues is that we need far more people to monitor people who are here on Visas and overstay their approved time, and those (like the recent Saudi guy) who are supposed to be living and working or going to school in one place, and are nowhere to be found in that area. But that takes money. And that means Congress would have to give up some of their pet projects to adequatly fund ICE.
