House OKs Obama trade agenda on 2nd try, bill heads to Senate

• How congress works. Some nut introduces a bill, they posture, huff and puff, record some sound bites for the next "election", the bill sponsors grease a few palms, they vote. If it gets turned down, the sponsors grease a few more palms and bingo, another "law" passed to destroy America.
  C'mon meteor. (The large one that I am praying slams into DC)

• The House passed TPA, the fast track provision, first time around and it still means nothing. Until TAA is passed, which the House knocked down 302 against to 123 for, the rest of the bill will go nowhere.

  We are not dead in the water yet, we just have to keep hammering our representatives letting them know that we, the people, are against Obummertrade.

  • Not this time. This time TPA didn't need TAA. So, since the Senate already approved it, it's pretty much a done deal. How does that feel, getting screwed and not even knowing it?

    • So, does that mean they cut out the training funding?

      • Beats me. Republicans only voted for that part the first time because it was necessary to pass it to get TPA. Now, will they still vote for it? Will Democrats still vote against it? Let's face it, we're just citizens. We don't have a clue.

• We the American people have no representation in Congress, let's face it. They are there strictly for their own personal benefit, winning a congressional seat now being akin to winning the lottery. Quick: show me a poor ex-congresscritter.

• A lot of people have developed a s taste for ass...There seems to be considerable kissing of dat ass over and over....we are screwed.

  • The revolution better come soon, or there won't be anything left worth fighting for.

• You could feed the world(except for the Moslem part)for quite a while with all the pork in this baby.

• Opposition was nothing more than theatrics... poli-tricks at its finest.
