House Rejects TAA 273 No Votes! The President’s glad-handing and arm-twisting didn’t do him much good today, especially after Pelosi went full-tilt-boogie against it. House said to move on to TPA and customs bill. Update: 126-302.

Ok guys, here is what I think happened today. The TAA bill is a bill that guarantees that American workers who lost their jobs because of the TPP bill would get money from the gooberment for "retraining". Which tells me that the assholes in the Senate and House who are for passing TPP know Americans will lose jobs when it goes through. The TAA bill has to pass or any votes on TPP or TPA, the "fast tracking" bill, means nothing because the whole thing will fail without its approval.
Y'all know me, you have seen me dump on Piglosi and most Democrats for a long time now, but on this one thing I'm going to give her, and the rest of the Dems, a big atta boy. They picked the one thing that can torpedo the entire Obummertrade mess and rejected it by a huge margin. They deserve a little credit for listening to the American public for once in their life.
So is tomorrow headline in the NYT gonna be something like this:
"Lame duck president attacked by congress, possibly because of his race"
Now Mr. Ryan, now that you traitors voted on it, and it didn't pass because you had to pass both bills, lets see what was in it.
Something weird is going on here. This was TAA, not TPA, that was defeated. But Paul Ryan promised that TPA wouldn't be voted on unless TAA passed first, but the House went ahead and voted on TPA anyway and it passed. But since the agreement was that TAA had to pass first, the vote on TPA is meaningless except for show purposes. I think.
What a frickin' mind-blowingly dysfunctional legislature we have.

When plastic Pelosi twist arms in order to kill a PoS legislation you know it must be horrible.
Pelosi is just trying to kill it because it wasn't her idea, and it will probably hurt her canning businesses.

TPA is symbolic - it doesn't match what the Senate sent over. It's just so Boehner can get a boner.
Something so bad for the country that Pelosi even recognized it as so. Or is she afraid of giving the next POTUS (likely not a democrat) such unrestricted power?
