None of this matters.
My father fought in the white army against the bolsheviks. When he was in Stalin's jails later, he met people he fought against (as prisoners, not guards). My aunt (born in Ukraine in 1898) lived in Prague when the locals all wanted the communists. They all said "the Russians didn't do it right, we will". Back in my budding radical days, when I started raising some sticky questions, my friends all said that Russia is doing it wrong, that everyone is happy as pigs in slop in China.
That is the answer any time you bring up the sad realities of communism. The local population is too stupid, or it's their culture, or it's America's fault because of the embargo.
It's a hard-wired pathology. "I have this fantasy that the world should change to accomodate my social and economic shortcomings, so please don't ruin it with facts, because it's my only hope."
The OWS should be exported to a country like that for about 5 years and then ask if that's how they prefer to live. It's sickening. I'll bet if Obama watched this he would have an orgasm. This is his kind of power over the people. SCUM
Not to mention that the protesters there were what you would call "Right Wingers" here.
I love how the left wing whiners here continually compare the right with the most horrible murdering regimes in every other country, but leave out the fact that those regimes are leftists that run their country the way these whiners are proposing we run this country.
Maybe the OWS crowd should live in one of their utopias that they want us to model ourselves after, and see just how much fun it really is. Too bad the Soviet Union is no longer the way it was back in the 50's-60's. They might really enjoy living there under Kruschev.
Andropov had a history of mutilating people prior to his becoming the premier. Brezhnev was a brutal bastard. All of them were evil men right through to the transition to Mafia style rule that they enjoy now! Ol' Vlad took his time off from presidential duty by becoming the presidential puppet master/man of the world and is now going to be the president again. The regime is apparently not as cruel and brutal as the 20s through the 90s were over in Russia, but the people aren't pursuing what the evil baby boomer types would consider happiness. The family doesn't have to subsist on one stinky potato a day anymore so it is improved. I don't think the poverty stricken sorts have iPads, iPods, cable TV and xboxs like the poor welfarians here do.
Only to add that this incident is not available on Google or yahoo or any search engines in China. No such thing as free flowing info in Communist countries...not video or print.
Having been in Tiananmen Square one can sense the tragedy and massacre that occurred there. You can still see the tank tracks in the concrete. While there the "regional tour guide" claimed that what the West did not see after the shootings had occurred, the people on the ground got back up. She claimed that all Chinese are taught from a very early age to lay down on the ground when they hear gun fire. Being a true smart ass and willing to challenge authority, I just had to ask. "Can we talk to any of the people that we all saw laying on the ground” The guide got that look of How dare you question me and what I'm saying. This Gweilo got the last word as she sat down and never said another word the rest of the day.
So all of you tools in the OW what ever. Just remember, you are being used and will be easily disposed of once you are of no use to the TIDE Foundation, SEIU and Soros.
