• Admittedly, as of now, the Sharia court is completely voluntary, and is restricted to making decisions that are within the laws of the US, Texas, and all local laws. They are merely acting as an arbitrator among Muslims in the area, and are taking some pressure off of the local courts.
  As long as this is the total extent of their jurisdiction, I have no problem with it. It seems to me that they are just deciding goat f*cking and Burkah wearing complaints.
  Once they start trying to impose Sharia law on non Muslims, then I have an issue with it, and will be first in line to stop them.

  • I do have a problem. Equality under the law is what America aims to achieve. If so Mmmmmmmmmm e are judged by different laws, and punishments meted out are different, then there isno equality under the . Law. A Muslim womn s has no defense against rape, assault, ok mprisonment under Sharia law. In America she should have the same protection as a non Muslim.

    • They don't adjudicate criminal cases. Also, both parties in any legal action have to agree to let them make the decision.

  • Texas is still a better state than California and New York and many other Progressive enclaves. If they try to impose it upon non-Muslims they will get a very STRONG opposing reaction, so either they will falter OR they will push it which means that there will be a lot of people dead and hopefully it will be the muslims.

• I saw this the other day, supposedly it is "voluntary" and the results have to fit with Texas Laws. So how long will it be before these dickwads decide to change that and make it mandatory and say the hell with Texas Law? The terrorists are taking baby steps.
