Just read on CNSNews.com some of the comments from democrats who defend holder, they truly believe that he has done nothing wrong. So I have to ask, if a US citizen knowingly smuggled military firearms into Mexico and gave them to the cartels, and the cartels went on a killing spree would the US citizen be treated the same way as Stalin Jr's (obama) best bud?

Has anyone else noticed that this vote was supposed to be yesterday? I am gonna go out on a limb here and say that the unexplained change of date is to appease the dems. TODAY is the expected date for the obama-care decision, and they know that the contempt vote results will be buried no matter what the outcome of o-care. I am so sick of politics and politicians! This is MY country, and I want crooks and thieves held responsible in front of the public eye ESPECIALLY if they are people of power and privilege. WE gave them the right to have that power and privilege - if they abuse it, they should be dealt with even more harshly than the disadvantaged kid who steals a pair of sneakers.
Either that, or they wanted to see if they could get a few more "D" votes for contempt.

I woke this morning to the news that Charlie Rangel managed to survive his primary race. If that dirty, blatant, lying, thieving scumbag can win anything, including dogcatcher, I wonder what hope there is that any of this crap can be fixed? WHY isn't that man in jail? If YOU cheated on your taxes to that degree you would be in jail; if I "used my bosses resources for personal gain" I would be fired - WHY is this guy still standing?

Look, I am a realist - I understand that lots of otherwise decent politicians fall to the temptations of the office and skim a little. I don't LIKE it and I don't approve of it, but it happens, and not every person can resist temptations.
But these blatant dumbass thieves, who don't even bother being contrite when they are caught red-handed, and then are never punished for it - that's what really ticks me off. It's like a very firm F-You to every single taxpayer who pay his salary, to all of his constituents, and basically to every decent, hardworking person out there.

but seriously, will it mean anything, really? I thought the being in contempt was nothing more that a bunch of congressmen shaking their fingers at the one in comtempt and saying, "Ooooo, you bad boy, you! You make me very angry" and that's about it. So will this do anything good?
What a joke. Next time I get a parking ticket, rather than pay the 15 bucks or whatever it is, I would prefer a censure by congress or better yet, held in contempt of congress. (At least they would be right about something for a change) I would save 15 bucks plus I'd go right back and park there again because there are no consequences that I'd give a shit about.
Once you have contempt, you can go to court and enforce the contempt, which means... okay, I see your point. Holder will still ignore them and refuse to give them the documents, won't he? And who are you going to get to enforce a criminal action? Holder is the top law enforcement officer in the nation - the cops all work for him.

It would be just like throwing a guy in jail without first taking away his keys, huh? Whoever it was earlier this month who said that bit about 5 words on why not to reelect Obama? Yeah. I'm with that. Supreme Court Justice Eric Holder. One of the scariest things I have ever heard in my entire life.
It can actually lead to an arrest and confinement, though that is a very remote possibility.
