Olbermann: Me on Current TV is like a $10 million chandelier in a crappy house. That’s KO “explaining” his Current TV bust-up to David Letterman. He is like a $10 million chandelier in one respect… he costs too much and does too little. And if Current eventually ends up in Obama-ruptcy, there’s one consolation – amongst all the bankrupt solar energy companies, it’ll be around friends.

Olbermann likening himself to a chandelier sounds like a classic case of the light's on, but nobody's home to me.
Olbermann was just hired at Fox news to clean Bill O'Reilly's toilet bowl.

Part of me really wants to see Keith Olbermann end up in some anonymous grunt job where nobody recognizes him. Preferably customer service, where he has to deal with as much crap as possible. The other part of me realizes that he probably has no marketable skills, and it wouldn't be fair to his coworkers to have to put up with him.
P.S. What the fudge kind of chandelier costs $10 million? One made of diamonds?

A few things...
1.Anyone who would hire BathTubBoy is a fool. His track record for being a total pain in the ass is legendary. Plus he does'nt get ratings, so he's not worth the trouble from that standpoint either.
2.He is lazy, & could NEVER do what Beck has done. Beck went out & built his own platform, with his money. Olbermann would never do that, he requires others to build the platforms that he's been on.
3.Despite the fact he has been paid millions over the years, & should be happy, Olby is the most bitter & angry person I have ever seen in the media, period. He is a disaster waiting to happen, & he really should seek professional help. My guess is he won't, & it will be a downword spiral to a bad ending.

A lot of it has to do with not being married and having kids IMO. Nice to be wealthy. Not nice to wake up alone and not have anyone to share that success with. Lots of Hollywood types have the same problem. They are told they are special, treated like they are special and paid a boatload of money because they are special. But when the lights go out and they are alone in that multi-million dollar mansion by the sea...... it gets lonely. They wonder why they can't find a mate who is equally special, fall in love and raise a spectacularly special family. That leads to bitterness and finger pointing. "It can't be my fault I'm not happy because I'm special." Makes the m easy picking for the party of failure that will pick them up listen to them and acknowledge how special they are.
That's how I see it. Success without someone to share with will make one a bitter person.
