Bonfire of the Absurdities: After 35 year career writing software for IBM mainframes, am now self-employed contractor thinking of joining a union and striking for higher wages.       Well, yeah. The cost of living is higher in California. I would have to assume the cost of dying must be higher also. I didn't get the bill for the first time I died. I had insurance then.

      I'm sure there is lots more waste, fraud, & abuse in the system. And you are right, it's only 1 state.

    That's right Pop. The fix for this will be enrollment into one of the free obamacare exchanges. Those poor Illinois politicians need to save money where they can.
