Of curse, I have3 had a problem with this from the begining. How can you get a tax "refund" on money that was never collected? And who decides who GETS the refunds, tax credits, etc.? When I was still married, I was the SOLE support for the 5 of us (all the kids were in grade school.) I sipported a nephew for about half the year (he ws unemployed, received unemmployment to helop with his other bills and I let hi live with us rent free, utility free, even paid a $900 deposit for his 2 cats and 2 dogs. He didn't even pay for food. He DID help with childcare, and cleaning, cooking while I was at work. THe OTHER half of theyear, my brother in law lived with us, the same deal. But IRS would not let me get any kind of tax credit for the kids, nor was I allowed to claim either of the family members as dependants, though they live with me for half the year each, and I paid far more than the $300 toward their living expenses.

Okay, it's really easy, you don't recommend or suggest you order and if they don't comply you throw as much leadership in prison as you feel is necessary and you garnish the wages of those in the lower ranks who knew about it but didn't run a warning up a flagpole. When the dust settles, you find out which dirty commie rats in the House and the Senate knew about this and said nothing and you have them impeached and then arrested and then tried for treason and this shit will stop in short order. If we just enforced the laws on the books already a lot of this crap wouldn't be happening.
Hear, Hear! How can they tell us they can't track this, but they can sure as hell freeze YOUR accounts for a refund overage or a perceived deficit in what you paid!
Sadly, no one should be surprised. The IRS lacks the ability to adequately monitor everyone who files a tax return and is thus easily defrauded. Child tax credits, the earned income credit, etc. are all ways of swindling the government. After a few years the IRS might catch up with the people filing these fraudulent returns, they'll reverse the credit and make an assesment---an assessment that will not be collectible. Trust me, I've seen this happen. Too, I don't think the Obama administration is particularly interested in fighting this fraud---don't wan to upsset the illegal alien vote.
P.S. this is a civil matter, not a criminal matter; the illegals who file these returns are not going to jail, they are not being deported.
