No citizen in the US can simply say, "nah my calendar is really full. I won't be making it to testify." They would be subpeonad and named a hostile witness, but the would testify or rot in jail. These a holes deserve exactly the same treatment. Maybe we could send them to visit their friends in Gitmo. I hear Cuba is nice this time of year.
Now anyone above total idiot can figure out that by refusing to testify they have either been threatened and/or have something to hide. Of course there is a large percentage of the population that watches, and incredibly believes, the MSM and therefore are idiots.

Subpoenas my ass, haul them directly to the nearest inner-city jail for contempt. As far as I am concerned Congressional hearings among high level goverment officials is not the same as being in a court of law. These clowns do not get to "plead the fifth", they either answer the questions or they should go straight to the nastiest jail in the area until their attitude changes.
I don't care who the President is, I don't care who his appointees are, if they screwed up they need to be held accountable. If our ambassadors and their staffs cannot be sure of their protection, no matter where they are in the world, we will end up with some very sorry representatives in foreign countries because nobody with any sense will go.
Some will say these bozos should not be forced to testify, or at least be allowed to plead the fifth, but I say bullshit in this case. Somebody screwed up and 4 Americans died needlessly. Whoever it was, one or many, should be stripped of their title, publicly humiliated, kicked out of office, then charged with murder and dereliction of duty. This is what would happen to any of our military leaders if they abandoned their troops when under fire, the elected elite should be held to the same standards.
There's a cure for the refusal. It's called a Congressional subpoena. End of problem. Then they have to appear or face contempt of Congress charges. Issa needs to stop playing nicely and just become junk yard dog mean and issue the subpoena

they don't understand the meaning of the word justice, matter of fact, I reckon there's a bunch of words in the American Lexicon of Liberty that leave them taken abaft.
