The lovely and gracious Janeane Garofalo has favored us with another of her sophisticated comments.
We don’t want to imply that the former Air America shrew’s career is in the dumper, but she did an interview with an “environmental celebrity blog.” Good lord, Janeane, that’s one step below talking to IHateTheMedia.com.
“The reason a person is a conservative republican is because something is wrong with them. Again, that’s science – that’s neuroscience. You cannot be well adjusted, open-minded, pluralistic, enlightened and be a republican. It’s counter-intuitive. And they revel in their anti-intellectualism. They revel in their cruelty.”
“…First you have to be an a**hole and then comes the conservatism. You gotta be a d*** to cleave onto their ideology…”
“I really believe that if a neuroscientist examined the brain of somebody who identified as a conservative, they would find it’s wired differently.”
One can only hope, Janeane. One can only hope.

I knew Janeane Garofalo in the 80s when she was an open miker in the Boston comedy clubs. I turned around and she was on national TV. I asked comedy friends of mine if they could believe how fast she'd moved up. They couldn't. They hadn't thought she was funny.
I'd rather be whatever she is calling me then a misandrist Nazi bull-dyke who's outbursts of rage against freedom of thought can probably be attributed to the side effect of being confused about her own sexuality, and a narcissistic personality.
I found it amusing what Garafalo said about conservatives. That we have larger brains but that they are pressing against our sckulls thereby causing us to have a mental disorder. Just as interesting was an article last week explaining that scientists have discovered the "Liberal Gene" in humans. Sad that the human race has evolved into a bunch of beings consumed with hating each other instead of trying to live with our differences. I'm sorry but I have grown so tired with all the anger and pure dislike over politics and name calling. I often wonder if my old girlfriend from my hipster days would even talk to me if she knew I was a soldier? For my sons sake, I hope he can live in peace.

I just think it's funny that the reason she claims to be a liberal is because she used to be a die-hard conservative with about the same level of tact and education.
Then one day somebody walked up to her and said: "You're an asshole."
She claims that this comment hit her on a really personal level and made her drastically rethink how she lived her life.
True story, and it really makes me feel like less of a man because it took clinical depression and a failed suicide attempt to make me really think about my life.
But just look at her now. I don't think she has any idea that if you're an asshole, you're an asshole. It doesn't matter what beliefs you espouse, there are ways that you can express them without being an ignorant prick.
I will admit, I didn't know her for her acting work. I tried watching some of the movies and her work did not impress me. However, that is not the reason I am posting.
The question I want to pose is, "Why are we even giving this woman ANY media attention?"
It is not hard to understand. Someone who has enough pent-up negative energy and an ephemeral Hollywood career will be given some attention. Coupled with her own strange brand of activism, she appears a novelty.
Her name-calling tactics, her own naked prejudice, and canned phrases are reminiscent of a hate group that recently has been given much undeserved media attention: The Westboro Baptist Church!
Given, their beliefs are different, but their emotional rants, and hateful methods are the same. Zealotry is born of hate, no matter which political side of the coin it comes from.
My point? Don't waste your valuable time on Janeane Garofalo. I would not even call her names. Let her and Fred Phelps just go away.
Like the mythical uzelem bird, here's hoping Janeane GodAwfulHo continues to fly in ever decreasing circles until she disappears up her own tattooed ugly ass...
I just don't get all the atention this S...B...gets with her dumb comments, she is nothing more than a idiot liberal ,the only hting she knows is critizise,no one of her comments are of a constructive manner,everytime she opens her mouth looks like a snake ready to spread poison, likewise she is the ass..hole.
Well, any one who looks like Garofalo yet insists on being in the public eye is hardly someone who ought to be lecturing on cruelty. Just this reminder that she is alive has inflicted undue pain.
Duh...everyone knows a liberal's mind is wired differently. Their cerebral cortex is wired directly to their left knee, whenever they see a puppy or a tree or a rainbow or a palestinian or an illegal alien they have a knee jerk reaction to save it, hug it, empathize with it or rationalize it. Strangely, they somehow are not wired to care for unborn children, America, different ideas, hard workers, people who dont live in cities, and those serving in the military.
Thank God our minds are wired differently.
