So let me get this straight, Joe wants to take OUR guns, while Joan keeps her's? I think he's had one too many plugs in that mellon of his.
Joe gave bad advice. The shot gun needs to be held firmly and level. Aiming directly at the door and or intruder.

Now, hold the phone here! I thought the problem with guns was that loony, drugged-up, misfit gamer kids were killing strangers in public places, or that there were accidents in the home and someone was shot.
If a woman's about to be raped, then it's neither of the above scenarios. So why fire in the air off the balcony? Why not just shoot the goddamned rapist? Sounds like the definition of "a good kill."

Liberals have NO business giving gun owners advice on firearms and self protection. Sheriff Joe's advice is a perfect example of what libs know about guns. My neighbor behind me has shot off several rounds for two years on New Years at 12:01 AM. I called the cops and was informed that they were on their way. Never showed up. We maintain the Sheriff bldgs. where I work--maybe this summer when it's 103 degrees and their A/C breaks down and I get the call, it might take me 4 hours to respond. What the hell do I pay taxes for?
Obviously not for police protection.
