The fact that the plaintiffs in this case were really grasping to try to turn this war memorial into a religious issue was demonstrated by the fact that the only evidence they could dig up on that issue was a “Washington Post column indicating that there were at least three Sunday religious services held at the Monument in 1931.” The trivialness of their claims is shown by their having to go back in time more than 80 years to find even a small handful of religious services.

An extra slap in the face to the plaintiffs, was the fact that this judge was a Clinton appointee. I guess they thought that they had it made, when they drew a Dem appointed judge, but somehow, this one slipped through the cracks, and actually doesn't make decisions based on politically motivated slant.
This is why this country needs reform where stupid ass people and groups bring stupid ass lawsuits like these they are entirely liable financially for wasting the court's time (and if can't pay then thrown in jail for at least the same amount of time it took for to file and then go through the process).
