For its part NOAA probably sees its best chance at not becoming a victim of budget cut charades via the avenue of carrying the prog's water because if they actually applied truthful science and began to debunk the AGW fairy tale they'd probably find their flow of revenue to be diverted to such worthwhile causes like studying the length and girth of mosquitoes genitalia.

Hey this is right in line with the unemployment numbers, the job creation numbers and the enrollees in barrycare. All the numbers are cooked too appear to be what this administration wants them to be.

I thought it was the reverse. They'll lie and twist the truth however they need to, as long as they get the answer they believe is right.
To these taxpayer funded government liars, fudging the temperature data is just like what they do with the unemployment data, only in reverse. I fully expect them to scream Globull Warming even after Hudson Bay freezes solid.

Since I am not a climate guru like the wizards at NOAA, I have to ask this dumb ass question: Why is NOAA "adjusting" temperatures in the first place?
I thought you look at a thermometer and record what it shows and that's your temperature. That's probably too easy and there is no way to get millions in government funds for something that simple.
