Justice: Prisons to step up anti-rape efforts

• Must be another jobs initiative by the White House, to hire more guards, to give back to the union POTUS handlers. Next the prisons will become voting places.

• I don't believe there's rape in prison at all. It must be an urban myth. I'm told repeatedly that you're either born gay or you're not, and there's just no way that a person would adopt the opposite lifestyle.

  • Translation: "Haha, I find rape funny, also, I don't like gays."

    • Sodomy in prison has more to do with domination then it does with homosexuality. It's like why the dog humps your leg, it's trying to establish itself over you.

      • RAPE in any context is more about dominance, control and power. Sex has NOTHING to do with it.

        • Since it is indeed a sex act, saying "sex has NOTHING to do with it" is hyperbole at best. The rapist is getting a sexual release. Or do you think a rapist rapes somebody and then says "I think I'll go have sex with somebody now"? If a man's only sexual intercourse is forcible and dominant (and there are some men who live their lives that way; check out the Middle East) then you're saying they abstain from sex their whole lives, because rape doesn't count as sex. And apparently, men in prison abstain from sex for twenty years or more, since rape doesn't count.

          If that's the case, then all this talk about how "everyone NEEDS to have sex" is absolute BS. Everyone can abstain until marriage.

        • It is NOT a "sex act in the standard definition of the term. That is exactly the attitude that for centuries allowed women to be raped by their husbands, have their personalities, style of dress, and physical attributes put on trial, rather than the rapist. If a man is stimulated he will have an orgasm. Not the same as a true sex act. I have alsways thought it interesting that men are soadverse to having rectal exams. I finally figured it out. Massage of the prostate will lead to orgasm and the guys were all hysterical that that made them gay!

        • You avoided the point. If a man's only manner of having sex is domination, then is he actually abstaining from sex? Did Josef Fritzl ever have sex in his life?

          How's this: Are any of those men in prison going to continue to dominate other men by rape after they are out of prison? If male and female prisoners were housed together, would the men still rape the men?

          My contention is no. They are using men as a substitute for women, since women are unavailable. Outside of prison, they dominate women through sex, and that's the only reason they ever have for sexual intercourse.

          You used block capitals on the word "NOTHING," and now you're shifting ground to "in the standard definition of the term."

          What is the standard definition of the term? Please don't tell me that affection is involved, because our "progressive" civilization has left that idea behind.
