But what can you say about a man that must have felt the Dred Scott decision was not so much wrong as it was too narrow? What can you say about a man that has effectively made federal property out of us all?

It seems like too many conservatives blink when the big moment comes. Kennedy and O'Connor both basically wrote in 92 that Roe v. Wade was poor law and a power grab, but they worried about the credibility of the Court if it were to be overturned. And now it seems Roberts has blinked in not wanting to appear too political and in again upholding the supposed credibility of the Court. The Court loses credibility when it goes out of its way to uphold unconstitutional nonsense. Liberal jurists don't blink. They think nothing of overturning laws, precedents, and even of attempting to overturn nature.
