Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.) says government regulations CREATE jobs. No kidding, that’s what he thinks. And given his ties to Louis Farrakhan and the Muslim Brotherhood, this is a man whose opinion deserves a certain level of respect. We won’t be specific about what that level is, but you can probably guess.

He's right actually. And why put limits on those kinds of jobs? Why not require an environmental impact report for every time you flush the toilet? My God, think of how many jobs would be created!
The problem is that a job in and of itself means nothing without a creation of wealth. When someone puts a computer program onto a piece of plastic, they've made that plastic more valuable. Someone's business becomes more valuable as a result of the program, etc. Having to hire someone to fill out pointless forms does nothing for the economy. It's like if we paid each other $10 for every smile. There sure would be a lot of cash flowing around, but there wouldn't be much wealth created.

They DO create jobs! Before government regulation one or two people could do the work. After government regulation you need 10 people to fill out their effing paperwork and make sure you're in compliance so they don't fine you $500,000 for something real important like using improperly colored paperclips.
Not to mention all the government jobs created to enforce the regulations!
Now, if they could only figure out how to create a job that isn't a drain on the economy!
