Krugman on the minimum wage

Krugman on the minimum wage:

1998: “So what are the effects of increasing minimum wages? Any Econ 101 student can tell you the answer: The higher wage reduces the quantity of labor demanded, and hence leads to unemployment.”

2015: “There’s just no evidence that raising the minimum wage costs jobs…”

  • There was just a blurb on FNC about how the increase in minimum wage is going to cost you $.50 more for a cup of coffee. It should be interesting for places like McDonalds that charge $1 for a cup now.

    • McDonald's is already unnecessarily expensive, that is why they have so called value meals and they keep having discounted fares to keep people coming. They used to have small fries for a dollar and removed it within a year or so. It won't be 50 cents that is a made up number.

  • And everyone wonders why I don't necessarily listen to "experts." Seems like most of them are only experts at promoting themselves!

  • Back in 1998 he wasn't being paid by Unions and OFA to lie to America via the New York Times. Now he collects paychecks through his sham professor job(how they launder paychecks to a lot of leftists), and he lies on their behalf.

The guy is as much an economist as I am neurosurgeon.

    • Back in 1998 he was being paid by Ken Lay and his pals at Enron to invent the cap and trade scam which Greenies have been pushing ever since.

  • It's the 'shroom' laced Kool-Aid he's been drinking these last 17 years. He should have read the warning statement, because I'm sure it listed all the genetic damage that stuff can cause, if it's used too much.

  • Wow! Where did you get the picture of the rare two faced asshole? I thought they were extinct?

Krugman must be "evolving" as demtards who flip flop like to say nowadays.

    • Yes, he's evolved. He evolved, he claims, because of a 1993 study... which apparently had no effect on him in 1998 but after 17 more years of thinking about it, completely changed his mind.

It's always funny when liberals start trying to explain their silly notions.

      • Libbies are *always* evolving, it's central to their playbook and they pull it out at least a year before an election while they campaign, at least until that election rolls around and they've gotten (re) elected. They also use it to endorse shady legislation so they can stuff it full of pork to make sure their buddies get paid.

Hell, Body Odor has evolved so much since his first campaign, he's become a whole new subspecies: homo sapiens flipflopperis.

Oh yeah, I forgot. Krugman is an over hyped, over quoted horse's ass who privately, probably doesn't know how to properly balance his own bank balance.

      • The only way his mind got changed was if his proctologist mistook it for a polyp and removed it.
