Long time no see, John. Believe it or not, John, not everyone here is in love with everything President Bush did. I generally liked his policies but thought his spending policies were atrocious. But what does President Bush have to do with the glaring media double standard in the treatment of Obama and Cain? I first saw the Sinclair video in February 2008. The media could have destroyed Obama with this and given the nomination to Hillary Clinton. They could have destroyed Obama with this and given the presidency to McCain. But the media had Obama's back. Just like they had John Edwards' back. They even had Bill Clinton's back to a degree though his stuff was so much it eventually came out. The media have stuck a knife in Herman Cain's back because he is one of the most dangerous beings imaginable to them: A charismatic, smart, well spoken, conservative African-American. No, I suppose there's no proof that Sinclair's story is true but I believe it because men starved for the affection they never got from their absent fathers sometimes act out in homosexual trysts and drug use.

I will admit that my post did get a little off topic. Personally I wouldn't have mind if it came out during the primaries--I actually rather have Hillary for the ticket (I'm a libertarian though). I am curious of why Fox didn't show the video? If my memory serves Fox outranks CNN in viewers so surely Fox would have done a fantastic job in casting darkness on Obama. Either way words are just words at the end of the day. There is a possibility that this rumor can indeed be true but I need more evidence then this to believe such a thing.

I generally like Fox but I don't think they're nearly as conservative as their reputation. One night in 2008 when the McCain affair scandal created by the New York Times was running O'Reilly told a liberal guest that he could run a scandal on another candidate the next night if he wanted to report gossip. It was obvious he was talking about Sinclair. The guest was silent and knew he was talking about Sinclair. At the end of the day I think Fox was worried about derailing the chances of the first black President and being called racist.
