They have the entire book. Why THAT passage? O Donnell is a pervert, and Levi can't read. I hardly think reading this passage on national TV (he doesn't realize there are no viewers) would make him comfortable. In fact, he looked like he wanted to crawl under the table!
I know nothing about O'Donnell, but it seems to me he's doing what good journalists do: putting his interviewee at ease, and encouraging him to open up and talk frankly. And, in this case, it worked very well.
I'm not sure what you guys are griping about, because Levi certainly didn't come off looking too good in this excerpt. Quite the opposite, in fact.

Good journalist? Check his time-slot transition ratings, oh vacuous one. The big OD sheds viewers faster than Jane Fonda at a VFW banquet. This is yellow journalism at it's worst, with another hack from DEMsnbc picking at the carcass of a long dead story, which is why OD's show even loses to reruns on other networks. Johnson's "fifteen minutes" ran out hours ago, though there are those among us who simply refuse to let it go. When you've got nothing else to use, you've got nothing to lose, one would guess.
Leave it to your myopic inability to seek out and weigh those factors before issuing another one of your totally uneducated opinions.
have you ever noticed at the top of the page, and scattered through-out this website the phrase "If we didn't laugh we'd cry"? This is a conservative JOKE website... and unfortunately the joke websites hit more important issues than the other sites I could name. This is a great website with tons of info...
