Lawsuit: Police seize homes, arrest owners to investigate neighbor. The police are more out of control every day. This is not only criminal, it’s insane.

    TRAFFIC STOP FOR SPEEDING

    Woman: Is there a problem, Officer?
    Officer: Ma’am, you were speeding.
    Woman: Oh, I see.
    Officer: Can I see your license please?
    Woman: I’d give it to you but I don’t have one.
    Officer: Don’t have one?
    Woman: Lost it 4 times for drunk driving.
    Officer: I see, can I see your vehicle registration papers please.
    Woman: I can’t do that.
    Officer: Why not?
    Woman: I stole this car.
    Officer: Stole it?
    Woman: Yes, and I killed and hacked up the owner.
    Officer: You what?
    Woman: His body parts are in plastic bags in the trunk if you want to see.

    The Officer looks at the woman and slowly backs away to his car and calls for back up. Within minutes 5 police cars circle the car. A senior officer slowly approaches the car, clasping his half drawn gun.

    Officer2: Ma’am, could you step out of your vehicle please!

    The woman steps out of her vehicle.

    Woman: Is there a problem sir?
    Officer2: One of my officers told me that you have stolen this car and murdered the owner.
    Woman: Murdered the owner?
    Officer2: Yes, could you please open the trunk of your car, please.

    The woman opens the trunk, revealing nothing but an empty trunk.

    Officer2: Is this your car, ma’am?
    Woman: Yes, here are the registration papers. The officer is quite stunned.
    Officer2: One of my officers claims that you do not have a driving license.

    The woman digs into her handbag and pulls out a clutch purse and hands it to the officer. The officer snaps opens the clutch purse and examines the license. He looks quite puzzled.

    Officer2: Thank you ma’am, one of my officers told me you didn’t have a license, that you stole this car, and that you murdered and hacked up the owner.
    Woman: Bet you the lying bastard told you I was speeding, too!

    • A friend here is our resident state trooper and he has told me some wild assed stories about people he has stopped for speeding. And excuses? Even the Obummer could take a few lessons from some of the people he has told me about.

  • The residents of Henderson Nevada had better hope that the city’s insurance policies cover irrational and illegal behavior by its police department. The chief and the commanders all need to be removed from office. Those officers who violated and falsely arrested these families had better hope that some slick civil rights lawyer is not circling about.

    When going through the academy it was stressed over and over the consequences of violating the Bill or Rights and a person’s civil rights. There are many “officers” who are now sitting or have sat in a jail or prison for violating those rights.

    Because you want to use someone’s houses to spy on another person does not give you the damn right to just take it. Lenin, Hitler, Mao and other tyrants just took someone home because they wanted it. The founders of this country knew all to well what it was like to be forced to quarter soldiers and have their private property rummaged through because someone wanted to. That is why the 3rd and 4th amendments are in the US Constitution. The entire force violated these two and the 14th amendment as well.

    Far too many younger and newer officers feel as if they are free to run amuck and to intimidate those that they come in contact with solely because they have a badge and a gun. Because you have a badge and gun does not make you a some sort of super trooper and it SURE as HELL does not give the DAMN right to violate the US Constitution and falsely arrest someone because they wont let you come into their home to spy on the guy next door.

    Not so Silent is right, many officer and chiefs do their utter best to serve and protect. Yet we are faced with dealing more and more with knuckle heads who are on some type of authoritative power trip.

      I fully agree, except I would change "many officers" to "MOST officers", however those are the ones who do their job properly, and are therefor NOT in the news.
      For every LEO you hear/read about that pulls boneheaded stunts like this, there are thousands, if not 10's of thousands who DON'T.

      • Your right, but remember it seems to be more and more incidents like this as we get new generations of cops. The old guys like me need to ride heard on them longer than the normal training period. They had a saying at the department I used to work for, your were called a "red pecker" for the first five years of your career, that meant it took a good five years before you were operating on par with other experience cops. A lot of departments now make field training officers with only three years experience, sergeants too, that is where you get the problems, you get guys who don't know teaching the new guys who know even less. Not true in all departments but true in a lot of Kalifornia departments with high turnover.

        • When you get tired of all the bullshit take your retirement then move to New Mexico! I'll help you get elected to the sheriff's office and you can learn how to deal with a bunch of rednecks who don't mean no harm, we just having a little fun!

          • I just asked my better half, she is all for it, anywhere but the Peoples Communist Republic of Kalifornia. First thing, to register my cars in another state so people don't know where I came from...How bad is that? Several times on Vacation in smaller states, rural areas I have been stopped for no other reason than being from Kalifornia..It's kinda funny when they run the vehicle license plate and it comes back as confidential to a police department. I imagine they thought I was some kind of communist drug runner or Liberal on my way to destroy their village. After the cops find out they wanna talk about how bad it is crime-wise in Kalifornia.....So first thing..Change the plates!

          • I usually tell them I'm fleeing California and ask if they'll grant me refugee status. Usually gets a laugh.

          • Some friends who live in Kali. bought a vacation cabin next to my parents a few years ago then moved all their vehicles out here but one. All you need in New Mexico is proof of residency, like a dirt lot or cabin and a P.O. Box, to register your cars here. What "Dave", not his real name, told us was it was cheaper to register a pickup, his wifes car, a utility trailer and their boat here than to register the pickup they drive back and forth on vacation in California. When you add the difference in insurance costs they are saving a ton of money.

            Dave only has a few more years before he wants to retire and move here permanently. More than anything he is worried about selling his business, he owns a muffler shop, and their home. They live out near El Centro and I guess their property values are in the toilet right now.

          • I guess you'd have to go to Nevada and register them there. Since you will probably have to show them the VIN to get it registered. I know when we moved to FL, they wanted to see the VIN on each vehicle before they would let us have new titles and plates.

  • It appears once again that some cops with minimal understanding of the law decided to make up their own. First you can only ask permission, second if it is an emergency (hostage situation, someone firing a gun out the window, explosives in the home) you can have them leave, if they refuse you can either arrest or let them be. If you wanna hang out next to a bomb or something be my guest. I am not gonna force you out.

    In this instance they are "investigating a possible domestic dispute???? Okay so stand out front and listen, knock on the fucking door and ask if you can talk to them, stand in the back yard and see if you hear yelling or gun shots. Without some kind of probable cause you can not do this kind of shit. I have a feeling these Henderson cops screwed the pooch really bad. I can not imagine a situation that would cause this kind of a takeover, basically the cops did a home invasion. If they did this and worked for me, off to internal affairs and probably home on admin leave with NO police powers until this is resolved.

    I would be willing to be since this is a smaller community, they have one of the most common problems within law enforcement, small town chiefs who have never had any experience outside their own department and a command staff that also has little in the way of experience besides sitting on a stop sign and writing tickets. Towns all over are looking for new Chiefs for reasons just like this, and in this case, based on what I read here, the chief needs to be fired since he has no idea what he is doing.

    A lot of these idiots (and there are very good small town chiefs too) think they can do anything they want since they are law enforcement. Sad but true fact since even in our own profession we avoid firing people and just either promote them or hide them in the office. You can thank civil service rules and union bullshit that makes it almost impossible to fire anyone, along with lowered standards for hiring. Okay that's my rant......:(

    • I don't know how it works where you live Not so, but in NM the chiefs of town and city police forces do not have to be certified law enforcement officers. Chiefs are appointed by the mayor or town council and their position is considered "administrative" meaning they are not necessarily involved in direct law enforcement. It's all political bullshit and I am not kidding you one bit.

      The same is true with our county sheriffs. Since county sheriffs are elected they do not have to be certified either because of the same political bullshit in this state. The county sheriff we have now is not a certified cop, never has been, he is an "administrator". All his employees, the deputies working in the sheriff's department, have to be certified but not the sheriff himself. How would you like taking orders from a political appointee or someone elected by the fools living in your area? Not me.

      • In Kalifornia They have to be a law enforcement officer, I don't know of any towns or counties that have elected a non law enforcement type, but I know in a lot of states they don't have to be, Thats just asking for problems, Like having your plumber be appointed as the medical examiner.

        • In the bigger cities like Albuquerque they usually come from within the department or are hired from another city. My point is they are still political appointees and what chief, given his cushy high paying job, will not bend to the will of the mayor or city council who appointed him? Or her if that is the case.

          The elected sheriff is a different can of worms. Fortunately I live in a very rural area so what most of us do is ignore him. He wants to finish his term so he can get retirement so he doesn't do much to piss off the local population. We don't have any town cops to worry about, like I said this is a very rural area of the state, so the county takes care of everything.

        • Just a guess, but from what I heard about the medical examiner in the Trayvon Martin case, I think I'd rather have a plumber.

      • I know that Sheriffs are elected in Florida also, but in my experience, they came up in the ranks of the department.

        • After four years. Or, like in trying to get rid of a bad governor, the voters can fight for a special election. That happened here about 8 years ago but the time, money and lawyer bills wasted made no sense to me. It would have been better to let the fool finish his term since it took two years to get him ousted.

  • Like I said in an earlier thread, we need to start investing in rope, because the only way you're going to get these f***er's attention it to start hanging a few of them! I don't suggest we start hanging the police so much as the whackotards that send them out into our communities.

  • This will become commonplace in an Obama world.
    I forsee surveillance cameras being installed in all new televisions, this should make it easier for Uncle Barack to spy on John Q Public, and control our actions. Nothing will be private anymore, all in the name of national security. We will all be expected to gladly comply, for our own good.
    Personally, I would prefer to go live on an island, without any communications with the rest of the world.

    I am getting so angry right now reading this. They are trying to investigate the neighbor... are these people stupid? Ramming home and making a racket might make the neighbor they are investigating very weary and they will get nothing... OMG what is wrong with this world? Why is this insane world now?

    Everyone involved should be fired and fined and seriously seriously take their pensions... I don't know whatever this is insane.
