I read this story and it is poetic justice for someone that has no understand what will happen when the cost of having employees rises. Shut the door and have a Going out of Business sale. Then find the remaining members of the Grateful Dead and see if you can join the deadheads.
from what i'm seeing & hearing on social media, nobody gives a crap about this. "no one cares" is the new thing now from the left - i mean, in unison, as a response to anything anyone points out from now on... seriously. whether something is a result of what they do is irrelevant to them, even if it's one of their own. this is their collateral damage and it's all part of the strategy.
in other words, the upsidedown train has left the station and they won't look at it until it's a wreck. it's a complete shut-down of reasoning like never before.

I went to boot camp at Alameda, just across the Golden Gate from Frisco. It was a beautiful, wide open city at the time and I had a ball there when I got some liberty. But, thanks to liberal politics, it has devolved into an over regulated cesspool where no small business can survive. Watch the exodus begin and their real estate prices go into the toilet as small businesses go under. I don't feel sorry for them, they brought this mess upon themselves.
Reminds of the recent stories that came out of the Upper East and West Sides of Manhattan where a lot of liberal artists, "thinkers", etc were shocked SHOCKED that their catastrophic health insurance policies were canceled as a result of the ACA and they were forced onto the exchanges. They couldn't believe it happened to them.
I know a few around here that got blindsided by Obummercare too. They thought Obummercare was going to be the savior of mankind and now they are howling mad because they are beginning to see what is really in the law.
All I can say to them is be careful of what you wish for, you just might get it.

SF will continue to have boutique shops (if you are already wealthy and/or one of the above) and it will have its base big-box stores and fast-food joints, which everybody hates unless they pay $15/hr.

BTW, nothing against the non-majority owning businesses... this is about the way it's being done. Death by a thousand cuts. All in all, tho, knowing a few who have been losing their shops lately (lefties, i mean), they nonetheless are still relentlessly behind BHO's (and Hillary/Bernie/Warren's) creed.
