• Well there's Mcsale out and Grahmnesty deny some the right to free speech. The same two who have contacted and broken bread with the muslim brotherhood, kidnappers and rapist. The same two who wish to give amnesty and all kinds of federal money and rights to illegals while denying those of us who were born in this country our guaranteed rights by birth and by God. These two sale outs need to be sent to the retirement farm to be never heard from again. Seeing that they are from republican governor states that won't sale out maybe they could assume room temperature and join their colleague from NJ.

• Senator Graham, I regret to inform you that the first amendment applies to everyone and every form of communication in this country. By the sounds of it, this little piece of important information seems to chaff your elitist, wanna-be totalitarian butt.
  No wonder the republic is screwed, we have to deal with a bunch of taxpayer funded tyrants like you.

• Look who he is sitting next to in the photo, RINO John McCain and you have got to ask yourself, just what are these two getting paid by the democrats and how long is it going to be allowed to go on?

  Free Speech is for everyone, even that idiot Crowley who keeps wasting out time has a right to spew, so do people who do not like liberals, muslims or any other group. That's what the first Amendment was designed to do, but today's politicians have no working knowledge of the constitution, I guess that bought into that living document shit. Again, TERM LIMITS to eliminate the senile old farts and those that don't know what they are doing..My Guess is 90 percent of congress needs to go.

  • The founding fathers set up the house and senate with term limits. Following the Civil war, the house and senate gave themselves unlimited numbers of terms as part of their attempt to control the former confederacy. We need to go back to the original set up, but that would have to be voted in by the house and senate. And we all know they aren't going to even consider that!

    • Constitutional Amendment, Two terms and your OUT, can move from the senate to the house or house to the senate.. If you serve one term in either and want to be the Potus, you can only serve one term...4 years all the way around, no six year senate crap, half up for election every two years and limit campaign funds so candidates can spend only an equal amount, once they raise the same amount of money donations stop and the game is on, and get rid of that electoral college, popular vote WITH voter ID, one person, one vote period.

      • I'm with you all the way until you get to the part of limiting expenditures. Free speech is free speech. Limiting it is unconstitutional, pure and simple. That's why the Supreme Court ruled against McCain-Feingold.

        • I know but I can wish can't I? How about instead they have to raise their campaign funds while holding a cardboard sign and standing on a freeway off ramp? And that's the only way they can raise campaign cash.

• The First Amendment protects freedom of speech no matter what form that "speech" may take. So yes, bloggers are protected by the First Amendment. Why is this so difficult for politicians to understand? Congressmen take an oath to defend the Consitution but it's obvious they have little idea what the Constitution says and what it protects. Every Congressman needs Bill of Rights sensitivity training or a swift kick in the *ss.
