Little evidence that protests following George Floyd’s death spread coronavirus in US. But don’t go to the beach or the bar on July 4th weekend or you’ll get it. More proof this is being used to curtail the public.
There is little evidence that the protests that erupted after George Floyd’s death caused a significant increase in U.S. coronavirus infections, according to public health experts.
If the protests had driven an explosion in cases, experts say, the jumps would have started to become apparent within two weeks — and perhaps as early as five days. But that didn’t happen in many cities with the largest protests, including New York, Chicago, Minneapolis, and Washington, D.C.
In what’s considered the first systematic look at the question, a team of economists determined that only one of 13 cities involved in the earliest wave of protests after Memorial Day had an increase that would fit the pattern.

Hard to have evidence when you are barred from asking for the data. I mean, we all knew this was coming when Cuomo and De Blasio forbade contact tracers from asking if anyone popping positive participated in the rioting.
Cuomo is also blocking anybody from finding out how many people he killed by his block-headed decision to send Covid-19 patients back into the nursing homes. He's giving the media the number of people who died IN the nursing homes, which is bad enough already, and most of the media is using that as the total number he killed. But as nursing home workers keep pointing out, most people who get seriously sick in nursing homes are transported to the hospital before they die, so the numbers being reported are likely only a fraction of the true numbers. If the media didn't cooperate in covering up anything done by Democrats, this bald-faced lying wouldn't be accepted for ten minutes.
