Every bullet that DHS buys is one a citizen cannot use. Since they will never get a gun ban past, they are simply making sure that no one will have ammo when they come to round us up.
I live near the Nebraska border right now and for the better part of a month now, the majority of ammo available is 20 gauge .410 gauge bird shot. I have need of .410 00 buck (home protection) and 12 guage 00 or better. DHS is putting a hurt locker on law enforcement. Maybe they should learn to load their own like many of us do.
I'm thinking many forces will be requiring their officers to pick up their brass from the range, and crime scenes, and turn it in for reloading.
WE always pick it up after shooting but we sell the brass to a recycle guy and use the proceeds to buy stuff for the range. There are some departments, mine included that bought many, many bullets, a couple years ago to have on hand in case the shit hit the fan, I was fortunate enough to be the guy ordering it so I ordered a bunch for me....The problem is the war is still going on and DHS ordered way too much ammo, they could have broken up the purchase to get it as needed when needed, but I really believe the Administration did this on Purpose, They know they will never win the second amendment fight, so they stop up ammo production or buy it all up leaving none for those of us who need it. DHS doesn't give a shit about local law enforcement, they believe they are top dog in the country and they screw up every day because of their attitude. I hate working with most of them since they are government hacks who are snotty and just plain rude. My Chief was joking, said we have to work and play well with others, except for DHS.
