Madonna backs down from wearing Muslim bridal dress in music video. “…her advisers convinced her to ditch the political stunt because of the outrage it would be likely to cause.” She’s a big Obama donor so she can’t be worried about being arrested for causing outrage. Is she suggesting Muslims are more violent than Christians, Jews, Buddhists, etc?

I think she should do a benefit concert, in a heavily Islamic country, for those poor, downtrodden people. Without security, of course. Seeing as how they're such a peaceful people.

I went to a Neal Morse concert in Seattle last night. No costumes. No hype. Just astounding musicianship and a positive message.

I always have to laugh at people when they suggest the reason they like acts like Usher (or his ilk) is because "he/she is such a great dancer". That's like saying I enjoy movies that Tom Cruise stars in because he probably smells really nice.
My 12-year-old goddaughter was riding in my car and Yes was playing on the stereo. They were doing their usual complex instrumental passage; you know, 5 minutes of synth and guitar before any singing started. My goddaughter asks, "How many guys are in this band?" I said, "Five." She then asks, "What do they do while this music is playing?"
I held back a guffaw and informed her, "They're actually playing the music."
