Notice that it's winter. You can't have an EV in cold climes, you just can't. Doesn't work. The stupid politicians and also a large percentage of the automaker bureaucracy cannot seem to grasp this. They make silly statements about going all electric. It's never going to be feasible. It's not just about charging. It's also about range. Those optimistic statements about maximum range the automakers publish, which are already garbage, become ludicrously shorter when the weather outside is freezing. Plus you're trying to heat your interior and defrost your windows off that same battery pack? Forget about it. With internal combustion you're heating the interior with waste heat, doesn't cost you anything. Why can't these stupid people understand that? With an EV, on a really cold day you'll be lucky to get to work starting off with a full charge.

Well, I meant to specify that my criticism was aimed at only white EVs. I'm sure the other colors of EV have no problems and go forever without needing any charge.
Down in the article, it mentions they suggest only charging to 80%. WTF? That's going to make it even worse.
