I actually wouldn't blame Lewis if he got tired of waiting for this circle of parrot loons to decide whether he was to speak or not. If they had an ounce of political savvy they'd let Lewis speak briefly to make a powerful friend in Washington and to get on local, and maybe even national and international television. The writer Jason Mattera nailed these people in his book: "Obama Zombies: How the Liberal Machine Brainwashed My Generation".
