Isn't Dowd a reporter or something? Doesn't she have a responsibility to investigate and vet presidential candidates.........from BOTH parties?
The fact that she not only didn't dig into Obama's background, and in fact backed, supported, and played cheerleader FOR Obama, puts her at odds with her job responsibilities, and therefore she deserves to lose her job, and be sued to return her pay going back to the 2008 election campaigns, for negligence, and failure to perform her job.
Okay you got me confused at Responsibility/Reporter/New York Times....I don't think those three words belong together....
Dowd writes opinion pieces for the NYTimes, & she can say pretty much what she wants about. She has no real responsibility to investigate anything. She only writes what she thinks makes America a better place from a very far left progressive point of view. She will not lose her job at the NYTimes, because she does EXACTLY what the NYTimes has always done, & that's what she gets paid big money to do.
Amazing, it only took her 6 years to figure it out. Sure hope her next job isn't being a cashier someplace, would take her a week to make change for a .50 cent soda.

Now we need to not go back to the failed policies of Bush 43 and elect Hilary (or approved equal, to be determined by focus groups and authorized individuals), who will do it right."
Progressives/Socialist/Communists/Liberals are ALWAYS looking for the one guy/administration that will "get it right". Their policies are SOUND on paper, however they believe that the execution lacks because of OTHERS who just won't obey their "betters". So all they need is a person that everyone will love and will have no problem obeying...

You're exactly right. On paper, in theory, whatever words you use. Others don't obey because the philosophy violates human nature.
Most of those who want it (a few exceptions actually WANT to be borgs) think of themselves as enlightened higher forms of life who will surely be right there in charge. We often refer to them as useful idiots.
But because socialism works for ants (maybe) but not humans, force must necessarily be used (force and obey go hand-in-hand), in ever increasing amounts.
I never get into debates about policy details with libs. I always reduce it to basic, foundational philosophy. Give them the above, and they have no choice but to agree (or at least not disagree). They won't become libertarians or conservatives, but at least they will stop heckling you.
What fascinates me is the patience. Is the methodology to do all that they can from indoctrination of children to their abortion, destruction of entire societies/cities/communities through liberal/progressive methodologies in order to create false dependance. It is a matter of wonder.
If all of that energy, plotting and planning and patience were to be put to true empowerment and betterment of all humanity INSTEAD of being done towards the enslavement of all humanity, this world would be essentially perfect.
It is amazing that the "useful idiots" continue to exist. If there was a DNA marker that can be found in both parents in order to prevent these people from procreating together it would make for a better world.

As to the methodology issue - yes, the patience is the one thing to be admired. All the various groups are willing to work with anyone who will forward the Agenda to any degree. That is as opposed to our side, who will crucify anyone who agrees "only" 95%. We want 100% NOW!!! The other side knows incrementalism, and how to steer the "center" of the debate their way all the time.
The only explanation I have as to the support for outright destructive groups/people/influences is simply some sort of pathology (nicer word for insanity). When I was a budding leftist radical, that was one of the things that I observed (in myself for a while too). We still see that with the fad obsessions with murderers (Peltier, Mummia Jamal, etc.). In my day, the free love thing was fun, but to a point. Eventually, one with an iota of intelligence comes to grips with the simple fact that a society can not survive in a civilized form going on like that.
Maybe part of it was that "in your face" generation gap attitude toward parents/authority. When you look at the occupy wall street crowd, it's still there (except most of their parents are still suck in that attitude). I know that some of my friends from those days never grew up and out of that.
But whatever it is, i truly believe it is psychopathological in nature.
