Mayor Emanuel: Crack down on absentee abuse in sanitation crews. Apparently, 33% of the sanitation employees don’t even show up for work. Yeah, sure they don’t really have to since they’re union workers, but this has led to an increase in… rats in Chicago.

Rat population? Thought they all went to Washington
Maybe they have this problem because:(1) The workers are "UNION". (2) They get paid too much, so they can miss work, no problem.(3) They are LAZY. (4) Most have an alcohol or drug problem. (5) Emanuela is running the show so they figure, "Brotha's not going to bother me, I'm cool. He's one of "US" so he'll cut me all the slack I want."(6) And he's a rat too.
1) There are not enough sanitation workers on the planet to decrease the rat population of Chicago.
2) THIS is his big concern? Pest control and tree trimming? Seriously? In Chicago?
In Chicago, anything less than half is a 'few' I guess. The math there has always been a little different, but I don't remember that part of it!
It's not just in Chi-town that the math is different. It's a flexible, very adjustable thing in all liberal-land (same as morals).
Add'l interesting math viewpoints:
6 libs showing up somewhere to protest their offense-du-jour is a "massive protest".
One whack-job at a tea party rally with an "Obama is the antichrist" sign proves that the movement is 1. overrun with racists, and 2. all about insane conspiracy theories.
and of course one of everyone's favorites - a 20% increase in the budget of some gov't boondoggle is a "cut" if the originally planned increase was 21%. It's a "draconian cut" if some heart-tugging name can be attached to the program, such as the "homes for orphaned puppies" program.
33% = "a couple two, tree" in Chicagoland
I like how 33% is soft-pedaled at the top of the story as "a few bad apples."
So long as it doesn't go above eleventy percent, they're good to go....
If they are really worried about getting rid of the garbage they should start at city all.
