Over the years , my heart is always sadden when those of the Homosexual community , when claiming to be Christians , eventually get to the point where they feel God is WRONG for calling their lifestyle an abomination .
I've heard multiple times and understand what the term " Lost " acts like .
Some parts of the bible urge us to remain celibate... all of us. Ecclesiastes and even St Paul in his letters have spoken on that. And also, some parts tell us it's wrong to eat dairy w/ meat, eat pork, or sleep w/ wives during menses, etc. Luckily, over time, the various popes have decided to pull some things off the list for Christians.
But, just for the record, not all queers practice fornication with either gender. It's called abstinence.

Yes, Paul says to be celibate, but if that's too difficult then a man should get one wife (and every woman should get her own husband).
The marriage of man and woman is not denigrated, but just placed below that of a life given up completely to contemplation of holy matters.
It SUGGESTS that we should all be celibate; it doesn't COMMAND us to. It offers us celibacy as the greater life, but thoroughly understands that few of us will go down that road.

I'm saved by Grace through faith, and that not of myself but it is a gift of God. And it wasn't the rc popes that removed the restrictions. Rather it is Jesus who made it possible for people to be saved not by following rules (which the Old Testament taught, (much as a classical tutor taught students) the way to live. Abstinence is laudable. But to think that homosexuality is endemic among people is an absurd lie.by the light of Jesus we know what is sin.

i gave 5 bucks to the gideons last week at church - they came thru to ask for funds to print more books... i don't think it had anything to do with this, however, it was just as well.
anyways, give to gideons if you want these books replaced. i think it's something like 20 books are printed for every 5 bucks donation.
fight back. you can also volunteer for them to place books in areas all over the country and the world. something to do if you are retired and bored. just saying. free travel. :) i'd do it if it weren't for the geriatric pets i take care of currently... perhaps some other time in my life, tho, when they're gone.
