The EPA runs a scan and gets mad ’cause another grifter tries to get in on the action.

Of course the EPA is pissed off, you shouldn't steal, the government hates competition.
The worst part about this green scamming it the wimpy opposition. I expect the dems and leftists to be corrupt and lie and cheat - that's who they are. But with so much blatant corruption and ineptness in these programs, and so much money wasted, rarely a word from the republicans. If roles were reversed the dems would be playing to the cameras every day decrying the programs and screaming about how corrupt the administration was - pointing this out at every opportunity and to good effect. At least they know how to play the game. The reps appear to more or less accept it and do very little to impress to the public - with appropriate ingidnation - about this outrage. At least they could act offended...but all we get is, "yeah, Obama's out of his league (careful! - oh my, we don't want to be more critical than that...)"
I would bet that there is a LOT of cash involved, even for Republicans. That sweet, untraceable kind. The kind that, when there are no real dead bodies lying around, don't take too much pressure for politicians to step over and accept. "What's it going to hurt? Really?"
Honestly, this is why I kind of like wealthier people to be in power. Of course, it's a balance struggle - did they get rich by being sleazebag unethical jerks (ie: John Edwards), or by being douche-bags who married it (ie: John Kerry) or spoiled brats who inherited it? OR did they EARN it honestly?
If their ethics are at least reasonably good, the rich ones are way less likely to breach them for a few hundred grand in cash.

As with every other controversial subject, the Repubs show no sign of fighting back. The "Old Gaurd" really needs to be voted out. They never stand up for themselves any more in arguments--they have no spine. "We can't stoop to their level..." they say. It's high time they did and start kicking some ass.

Every time I read a story about somebody that does something that reflects poorly on the wonderful, peace-loving, fair and progressive democrats, it only takes a second to read between the lines to discover the conspirator of the right wing extremists obeying the orders of Rush and FOX, pretending to be a democrat while committing heinous acts. This morning , this finally made the back of a few news reports here in Maryland .
The same exact thing happened with the carbon credits market in Europe. People were scamming like crazy. Plus, when they went back to review, they discovered the companies making the most money were the filthiest companies, because they had the most credits to sell. So coal companies and coal-fired power plants were making billions.
Liberals are unteachable.
I hope that authorities intend to prosecute all vendors of “energy credits” since all “energy credits” are as bogus as the pseudo-scientific conjecture of anthropogenic global warming whereon they’re based.
