Media Matters declares victory over Fox News

Media Matters declares victory over Fox News. Talk about delusional. Aren’t these the same people who made fun of George Bush for giving a speech under a “Mission Accomplished” banner in 2003?

  • Heres my impersonation of a troll post:

Liberals, blah, blah, blah, right wingers, blah, blah, blah, penis, blah, blah, blah, Obamacare, yada, yada, yada,, nurse, blah, blah, blah, penis again, blah, blah, blah, no links provided, blah, blah, blah, the sky is falling, blah, yada, blah, yada, once more unto the penis dear friends. yada, blah, wanker, wanker, bullshit, bullshit, bullshit.....that about does it, one complete, unedited translation of a troll post.....

  • I just knew that stupid troll would be on this thread spewing her shit.....Like death and taxes..you can always count on the troll to add mounds of bullshit to a thread....

  • What's the big deal? Let these ass-clowns continue to drink the oral and anal diarrhea that keeps spewing from their pie holes and maybe they'll begin a species die-off of biblical proportions. One can only hope.

  • Gee. Silly me. I always thought news people were tasked with reporting things that had happened or were in the process of happening. Preferably in an objective manner. Didn' realize they declared wars . On each other. What a waste of resources!

    • Not any more. They are to create it not report it. All part of the new propaganda machine.

Btw what happened to all the sunshine in Austin? It's rainy and cold here this evening.

      • Global Warming. We have had a series of artic air masses come to visit over the last few weeks. I don't know about the immediate future, but another blast is due in time for Christmas. Today is chilly, windy and sunny, though!

        • these theories don't promise it won't still get cold, or snow. The planet tilts on its axis.. hot spots, cold spots, and thermal exchanges are inevitable

Its just a model of a very gradual change in overall heat.

If the deep oceans are taking up a lot of the heat, all the better I'd think. Oceans are excellent heatsinks

I'm not worried about it. It doesn't require a reorganization of global economies. Please don't try to pin policy on me. I'm just interested in the scientific study

  • Seems George had been in the erctile dysfunctional medicine again and it's cut the flow of blood off to his brain.

  • If MM were not worried about FOX News, it would simply ignore it. Just like the progs and its obsession with the TEA Party or Sarah Palin.

    • OF COURSE they're worried about FOX News, Kick. ANY time a significant portion of the nation (even if it's only 3%) is getting all of its information from a propaganda outlet, and voting accordingly (usually against their own best interests), that's a big concern.

      • “ANY time a significant portion of the nation (even if it’s only 3%) is getting all of its information from a propaganda outlet, and voting accordingly (usually against their own best interests), that’s a big concern”

They're only concerned because there are some people who aren't getting information from THEIR propoganda outlet!

        • As I pointed out in an earlier post, a recent study showed that FOX News regular viewers tested out to be less informed than people who never watch any news shows at all.

FOX was the only current events outlet whose viewers tested that poorly.

          • You mind posting a link to THAT study?

I didn't think so, because it will be found out to be paid for by a left wing group.

      • 3% is not a signiivant portion of the nation. And whoever gets only 3% to vote for them is going to lose big time. Go away.

      • "ANY time a significant portion of the nation (even if it’s only 3%) is getting all of its information from a propaganda outlet, and voting accordingly (usually against their own best interests), that’s a big concern"

Finally words from you I can fully agree with- though I seriously doubt I agree with your meaning. There isn't a single network "news" outlet that isn't a propaganda mill unfortunately... including (IMO) FOX News- which leans further right than MSM news but it's debatable whether they actually lean right or just appear to do so in the midst of the hard left water carriers for the Progressives.

        • No, it's not "debatable" at all, Stinkfoot. FOX News is a GOP propaganda station, just as MSNBC is for liberal propaganda.

I agree with the rest of your comment, though. That's one of the problems with a "let the free market take care of it" philosophy on current events reporting: news stations aim for popularity, rather than truth or accuracy in reporting.

It's long been a gripe of mine that U.S. television doesn't provide enough current events information about the rest of the world. The only time we hear about events overseas is when we're playing a key role in them. As a consequence, we as a nation are really pretty ignorant how most of the rest of the world lives, what they think, and how their perceptions differ from ours.

          • So go to European Journal on PBS. You'll get all kinds of European news. Most people in America are too stupid to keep up with what's going on here, much less in other countries. Even so, a large proportion of the broadcast news outlets report on Global happenings, so you are talking out your a$$ again. Since you don't watch TV, you have no clue what is reported. Remember that suggestion that you stick with what you know? Good advice.

          • I don't particularly see the GOP in its current state as being right wing- except in their act of pantomiming opposition to Progressives.

          • Please, Olivia, the cable providers offer, BBC news, NHK (Japanese news), Russian news, multiple Spanish language news outlets, Canadian news, and even Al Jazeera. If one is looking for an international perspective, he need not look far. Add the Internet and one has an almost unlimited supply of news sources from all points of the globe.

    • FTA:
Media Matters reports that it has “effectively discredited the network’s desire to be seen as ‘fair and balanced.’”

Once again, declaring victory when there is none to be had.

  • This is a classic tactic of the libtards, where they claim victory when they have in no way won the debate.
Remind you of a certain troll that does that here all the time to our constant amusement?

    • Just what I was thinking.

It always asks for evidence and in the same breath says "I didn't think so."
      Problem is, it doesn't think, PERIOD. {Thanks to BHO for that last word}
