• Iraq had chemical weapons as it used them. Saddam said he had WMD's and bragged about it and would not allow inspections. Thousands of units of atropine were found on the battlefield indicating that chemical weapons had been in the area or that their use was contemplated against US troops. Clinton admitted that WMD's were present. And last, they found the weapons!!! I am beginning to believe that FOX is trying to change the political spectrum in favor of Hillary. Murdock seems to be wooing her.

• Here is a nice bit of truth that all of the msm have forgotten. There were convoys from Baghdad to the Syrian border nightly all lead by the Russians in Iraq at the time.

  Second thing. Why has no one bothered to ask just where in the hell Assad got chemical and biological weapons that he used on his on people? Would it be if the questions were ask, the answer just might lead back to Baghdad and Hussein.

  Third ever last damn dim wit who was in the House and Senate asked for a revote once they realized that the American People had gotten behind W and his plan of action.

  Fourth, it was Slick Willie who kept telling everyone that Hussein had WMD.

  Fifth W built a coalition of not only US support but even the UN supported the action. As for Tenet, yep he was piss poor and should never have been kept on. Cheney and Rumsfeld knew that in order to keep from having leakers and back stabbing ass hates, you needed to replace everyone from the previous administration. W tried to be nice. Well being nice in politics is just asking for someone to stab you in the back the first chance they get.

  • The answer is that it wasn´t the Syrian governement that used these chemical, it was some of the FSA groups who launched these chemical attacks and they did it in the hope of provoking a US and Turkish intervention.

    Obama drew his red line precisely because he knew they did have chemical weapons and would use them if he did, only reason Erdogan and Obama backed off is because of the kind of armament Russian governement have been Selling to Syria because it doesn´t want to deal with Islamic terrorism, especially as Russians aren´t as accepting of immigrants as west europeans.

    King Barky hasn't figured a way to blame Bush, so it won't be mentioned.

• The obvious issue was George Tenet's incompetence as CIA Director. He was Clinton's man but Bush kept him in the role. That was Bush's first mistake. Cheney was correct regarding both Clinton's by in to Iraq's WMD, plus the rest of the Dems leadership. I was stunned immediately when Bush didn't replace Tenet when he came into office. Surely even his father, a former CIA Dir. knew of Tenet's total lack of management and employee trust. Plus he was Bill Clinton's man. Devastating for us to have trusted Tenet.

  • Agree on Tenet. Clapper is even worse. At least Tenet didn't believe that Gay Pride was what the IC is all about.

  • Agree. That and disbanding the Iraqi army were the two biggest mistakes, IMO.

• Why is there no discussion about exactly what happened to those WMDs? We didn't invade until 2003. There was plenty of time to relocate WMDs into Syria. But it seems like that obvious answer is off limits.

  • They sent the WMDs to Syria Nope, given Syria´s policies during the Iraq-Iran war.

    They didn´t side outright with Iran against Iraq but this was only because israel would have seized the opportunity if it had done so.
